Sep 24, 2014 I use Garage Band to mix playlists of, for example, 40 tracks. My last track doesn't go as far as the end of the playlist, so I can't delete the end. Not sure why the playlist continues for an extra 20 minutes after the end of the last track but I can't seem to delete it (but I could in a previous version of GarageBand). Duplicate the selected track: Command + Delete: Delete the selected track: Shift + Return: Rename the selected track: Up Arrow: Select the next higher track: Down Arrow: Select the next lower track: M: Mute/Unmute the selected track: S: Solo/Unsolo the selected track: Ctrl + I: Turn monitoring for the selected track on/off: A: Show/Hide automation for the selected track. Quick Start 6 Recording Audio in GarageBand 7 In the Track Info pane, select Vocals from the list on the left, then select No Effects from the list on the right. With these settings, you have just chosen to record a vocal track while disabling all effects. Apr 25, 2013 Then I went back and split the track into various regions (i.e. One region per song), trimming out dead space in-between songs and so forth as I went along. When I go to GarageBand's 'Share' menu and try to export the song to iTunes, it's wanting to send over the entire track's contents. Although you could split the tracks in GarageBand, then cut and paste the split portions into separate tracks, and then export each track separately, it’s a bother.
